School is the very first intrinsic community, outside the parental niche, to which a child is being introduced deliberately by the parents at a meagre age of three. It is in this community that the child is placed for a long span of fifteen years. Hence we at Modern School believe it becomes a crucial responsibility of the school to nurture the child as a family and facilitate him / her to flourish in his/her full potential during these formative years. For this reason the curriculum and the evaluation system are selected and designed with much care. The School has been affiliated to the Central Board for quite some time with classes running from Nursery to XII with Science and Commerce department. We follow the changes ushered in by the CBSE closely… and always line up with the dynamic changes brought in by the CBSE from time to time.
Teaching Methodology
We find an amalgamation of the following approaches in our teaching methodology:
Education for Life:
Teachers choosing the real world over the classroom and are giving the students the tools to live and breathe around them.Lesson Study
Conceptually, lesson study promotes the idea that teachers constantly improve and change their style of teaching based on students’ performance and reaction to it. Collaboration between teachers is paramount and so is change. Combining these two factors with constant change means students never stop learning.Character Education
Within the realm of creating morality, there’s character standing right next to it. Character may even be a stronger element of education than morality. With students so quickly exposed to violence and sex through the internet, character development takes effort and awareness.
Teachers use various teaching practices like communication and collaboration, creativity and innovation, critical thinking and problem solving so that every child can experience the varied realms of crucial and effective knowledge.
